AB16 Autumn Sown Bumblebird Mixtures – Stewardship Seed Mixes

AB16 Autumn Sown Bumblebird Mixtures offer a diverse and valuable range of feed and habitat for farmland birds such as tree sparrow and corn bunting, and a range of nectar-feeding insects, including butterflies, solitary bees, hoverflies and bumblebees, on arable and mixed farms.

The Autumn Sown Bumblebird mix is supported by the AB16 Stewardship Scheme and will provide large amounts of small seeds in the Winter months. During the peak growing season, there will be an abundant supply of cereals and seed-bearing plants alongside pollen and nectar to encourage species such as tree sparrows, corn buntings, butterflies and solitary bees.

AB16 Bumblebird mix is highly attractive with bright colours (pollen & nectar-rich flowers over a long period of time in the year). To get the most out of your seed mixture and provide food for tree sparrows, corn buntings and other farmland birds, you should sow between the months of June - September. We recommend establishing the mixture as soon as you can after harvest in year 1 & year 3 and ideally before September.

Our team of seed and agricultural specialists have expertly developed a large and diverse range of AB16 Autumn Sown Bumblebird Mix products. Our seed mixtures are ideal for planting alongside meadow grasses and attract a rich selection of pollinators and farmland wildlife and will produce a rich abundance of small seeds during the colder months. If you have any questions regarding mixture percentages, sewing queries or our delivery process then our team is on hand to help. Please also see our FAQs.
